Matrix proudly presents the Pacific National project, a testament to our expertise in creating cutting-edge workspaces for national freight and logistics operations. Our mission was to transform an existing office space into a fully integrated logistics control centre and a national call centre.

Project Scope:

Workplace Strategy: The project began with an in-depth workplace strategy engagement, laying the foundation for its successful transformation. Understanding the unique dynamics, operational needs, and communication requirements of different teams was crucial to the project’s design.

Noise Management: Given the potentially noisy nature of call centres, maintaining noise control between teams while promoting connectivity was a significant challenge. We employed a combination of acoustic partitions and glass elements to strike a balance between visual connection and noise reduction. Creative floor finishes, wall graphics, and adaptable doors visually united the two team environments, fostering a sense of unity.

Meeting Pods: We incorporated meeting pods into the design, offering ideal spaces for personal or private phone calls and quick feedback sessions. Additionally, they provided a conducive environment for structured quarterly feedback sessions with the team.

Electrical and Communications Integration: Seamless integration of electrical and communications infrastructure was pivotal to the facility’s success. Careful coordination was maintained, especially regarding the numerous display and security monitors. The layout was designed to optimize sightlines from each workstation to communal monitors and efficiently manage extensive cabling requirements.

High-Quality Construction: The project’s 24/7 operation and high traffic demanded the selection of premium materials and top-notch construction. Close collaboration between our designers and construction team ensured the refinement of materials and installation methods, guaranteeing the call centre’s seamless operation for years.
